ASUS is keeping up the pace with the release of new Windows 7 to its netbooks. ASUS Japan introduces three new Eee PC Seashell netbook models, 1005HR-WS, 1005HE-WS160 and 1005HE-WS250, all with the new Windows 7 Starter edition. All of the newly released netbooks are powered by Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz processor.
Other features are: 1GB RAM, GMA 950 graphics, 10.1-inch LED-backlight display. The ASUS Eee PC 1005HR-WS has a 250GB hard drive and an enhanced 1366×768 screen. The ASUS Eee PC 1005HE-WS160 and 1005HE-WS250 uses a 160GB and 250GB hard drive respecitvely.
ASUS Japan released an additional ASUS Eee PC 1005HA model, the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA business edition (EEEPC1005HA-SVXPPR). This business edition of ASUS Eee PC 1005HA netbook is a 10.1 inch netbook which will be running windows XP professional and using an Intel N280 1.66 GHz processor. Other specifications are: 2GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, and an onboard Intel GMA 950 grpahics. It has a multi-in-one card slot, Bluetooth, 1.3MP webcam and WiFi 802.11b/g/n. ASUS claims to have up to 10 hours of batter life (6-cell).
Acer Europe is releasing a new 11.6-inch tablet netbook branded by Packard Bell. Tablet netbook is really new right now and Acer is taking the advantage of netbook and notebook techniques to lead the industry. This new Acer 11 inch tablet netbook has a 1366 x 768 pixel touch screen. The operation system is Windows 7. This tablet netbook will be officially announced on October 22nd together with Windows 7.
The tablet version of notebooks are very common nowadays. But ASUS has lead the road for running out netbook based tablets, the ASUS Eee PC T91. As the successor of the T91, ASUS is preparing to launch the ASUS Eee PC T101H tablet netbook. It is said that the new T101H tablet will be using the latest Intel Atom N450 1.66 GHz processor.
Other specifications are: Windows 7, 10.2-inch 1024×600 touchscreen, 16GB SSD, and 1GB RAM. This tablet netbook will be also equipped with bluetooth, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, GPS, 3G UMTS connecitivity and has optional DVB-T tuner.
ASUS just released a new budget netbook model in Japan, the ASUS Eee PC 1000HT netbook. This new netbook seems to be test-model in Japan. This ASUS Eee PC 1000HT netbook is very similar to the 1000HE model but does not have bluetooth.
Following are the basic configurations of this ASUS Eee PC 1000HT netbook:

It has been well known that Asus has been working to expand its Eee PC netbook line to meet the needs of a different customers. And now some basic configurations of the ASUS Eee PC 1201N and 1201HA netbooks have leaked online. Following is what I know so far.
Both of the Eee PC 1201N and 1201HA netbooks are 12-inch netbooks with 1366 x 768 resolution. The ASUS Eee PC 1201N netbook uses a Intel Atom N330 1.6G dual core processor and carrys NVIDIA Ion platform. It has 3GB of DDR2 RAM and 320 GB HDD. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are standard options. Operation system is Windows Vista Home Premium.
While the ASUS Eee PC 1201HA netbook uses an Intel Atom Z520 processor. It has 2GB of RAM and 250 GB HDD. Similar to the 1201N, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are standard options.
It is interesting to hear that someone wants to make a dual-screen netbook. But it is true. Now Kohjinsha is promoting its new dual-screen netbook concept displayed at this year’s CEATEC.
The prototype of this dual-screen netbook has two 10.1-inch LCDs available in both 1024 x 600 and 1366 x 768 resolutions. If you just want to use one display, you can slide the second back to hide it. This machine is powered by an AMD Athlon MV-40, is compatible with DirectX 10, and comes with a 2.5-inch SATA HDD. This Kohjinsha dual-screen netbook uses the latest Windows 7 Premium.
The Acer Aspire One Android netbook is expected to be launched in a very short time. Rumors about this netbook have been circulating for a while but no exact date has been released. Now it is quite sure that the next most likely date of the release of the Android based Acer Aspire One netbook is some time in November.
The exact price of the Android netbook is not clear yet but probably not cheaper than current Windows based Acer Aspire One netbook.
