Samsung’s new LED HDTVs are now available for order at Amazon.com. Samsung released the information about LED HDTVs several months ago and now they are ready to be shipped to your home. There are 9 models to choose from with prices range from $1399 to $2899.
What’s the major difference between LED HDTVs and traditional LCD HDTVs?
The most important difference is LED technology uses Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) as its primary light source but traditional LCD HDTVs are using Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps (CCFL). SO the most obvious benefit of this new technology is energy efficient. It can also bring ultra-high contrast ratio and slim design to the HDTVs which are most customers want to see.
Samsung’s LED HDTVs also utilize the new Auto Motion Plus 240Hz technology which quadruples the frame rate from 60 to 240 frames per second (240Hz LCD panel) without repeating the same image to make more frames. This new technology design greatly reduce the blur occurred.
Right now, Amazon.cm also offers free shipping with Samsung LED HDTVs. If you are an Amazon Prime member, you can use free 2-day shipping. Buy with an Amazon.com Visa Credit Card and you can get 3% cash back to save more money.
Sony announced the new Sony VAIO X series netbook at IFA 2009 today. Many bloggers like to call this Sony VAIO X ultraportable device a notebook. But, in my opinion, I would rather call this a netbook. Most surprisingly, this Sony VAIO X netbook is made of carbon fiber which is typically used to make high strength but low weight composite materials.
This netbook uses 11.2″ display and weighs 1.5 lbs only! Rumors are out that this Sony VAIO X will be using Intel Atom Processor. But it would be also possible that this netbook might be using the ULV processor which is typically used for ultra-thin designed notebooks (like the MSI X600). The thickness of this netbook would be only 0.5 inch.
MSI is going to release the new model: MSI wind U100 light in Japan on September 5, 2009. This MSI wind U100 light is actually a low-end MSI wind U100 netbook aimed to get more customers with lower prices. The only difference from other MSI wind U100 netbooks that I can tell is this light edition does not have bluetooth.
